Our client is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join their team. This role involves leveraging your expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to design, build, and deliver web applications that support spatial data management needs.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver web applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript or similar mapping APIs.
• Perform complex analyses and create multi-layered maps using ESRI GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Design and maintain GIS tools and applications to support spatial data management.
• Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users, both verbally and in writing.
• Conduct data extraction, analysis, and scripting using tools like Python, Oracle SQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Develop and maintain linear referencing systems (LRS) and GIS applications, including ESRI Roads & Highways or similar systems.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and improve GIS solutions.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field with GIS experience.
• 4-8 years of experience in GIS and GIS application development.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and building web applications.
• High proficiency in ESRI GIS software suite (ArcGIS Pro 2.x and higher) and related tools.
• Strong skills in Python scripting and problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with linear referencing systems (LRS) and ESRI Roads & Highways.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Proven ability to develop innovative GIS solutions and work independently.

Location: Richmond, VA 
Hybrid schedule requiring at least 3x days per week onsite.
Long-term position .

Salary: Pay rate: $54 - $57/hr - or from an annual perspective $112,320 - $118,560
