We are seeking a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Administrator to support Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) implementation for the BuildLACCD program. This role is ideal for tech-savvy professionals passionate about digital construction workflows and eager to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across major educational projects.

 



Requirements
Key Responsibilities:πŸ”Ή BlueBeam Administration

  • Manage BlueBeam Studio Sessions for project teams.
  • Provide training and general technical support for BlueBeam users.

πŸ”Ή ProjectWise Database Management

  • Oversee ProjectWise document control, including file uploads/downloads.
  • Manage user access, provide training, and generate reports.
  • Research data requests from the District and PMO.
  • Review DSA/CD/As-Built/Redline drawing sets for completeness.

πŸ”Ή Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct QA/QC reviews on CAD/BIM As-Built drawings.
  • Verify drawing sets for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.

πŸ”Ή GIS & BIM Support

  • Provide assistance with ArcGIS as needed.
  • Develop Revit BIM models to support project teams.
  • Offer Lidar scanning support for project documentation and coordination.

πŸ”Ή Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain direct communication with college teams to track and obtain deliverables.
  • Provide weekly reports to the PMO on project status and document control.
  • Travel to college campuses as required to interface with project teams.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

βœ” Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
βœ” 1+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, VDC Coordinator, or in a related role.

βœ” Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree).

Preferred Qualifications:

βœ” Hands-on experience with BIM modeling & construction technology.
βœ” Familiarity with project closeout processes.
βœ” Experience conducting Lidar scans and data integration.
