RESPEC is seeking a motivated and talented CAD/GIS Technician for its Mining & Engineering business unit in our Rapid City, SD, office.

The CAD/GIS Technician is a hands-on position that will provide CAD and GIS support for engineering analyses and drafting specific to the Mining & Energy and Water & Natural Resources industries. This position entails creating drawings, alignments, and plan and profile sheets; mapping and geospatial data management; and point cloud processing and analysis. Assigned projects will vary in size and complexity and be produced in an office team setting with project managers, engineers, and scientists.

• A technical-related associate degree or 0 to 5 years of CAD design drafting experience in the following areas:
  • AutoCAD and/or Carlson CAD software
  • ArcGIS and/or qGIS software
  • 3D point cloud software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
