The Surveyor's Office in the Department of Land Use and Transportation is recruiting for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst.
The Position
- The GIS Analyst provides support to end-users of GIS within the Surveyor's Office which includes:

Design, manage, and maintain enterprise and file geodatabases.
Design and maintain SQL server tables, queries, views, and spatial views in ArcGIS for Server. -
Must have experience designing, tuning and publishing web services using ArcGIS for Server, using ArcGIS Server Manager, and ArcGIS Assistant is a plus.
Have good understanding how to manage Distributed Geodatabases, plus knowledge of editor tracking, versioning, archiving, domains, etc. -
Develop and maintain Web GIS applications usingArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS.Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder using Visual Studio Code and other programming languagetools.

Customizing GIS tools, coding scripts,and applications to support managements, projects, and group daily operations.Coordinating with ITS to troubleshoot problems on servers, databases, and GIS applications.

Serve as a technical resource for survey staff and provide GIS software training and support.Coordinate and work with other GIS Analysts and information systems management to determine direction of GIS application development and implementation.

Must stay apprised of changing technologies and how they might affect the County.

This position has paid training opportunities at local and out of state conferences.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and self-motivated GIS professional with experience supporting SQL/GIS databases and their applications. Experience with Builder Visual Studio Code and other programming languages and tools is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in planning, urban studies, geography, architecture, cartography, computer science, surveying, or a related field; AND three (3) years of experience in geographic information systems design.
