Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst

Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to support our client’s Mission Support Product Line (MSPL) by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of geographic data related to utilities and infrastructure. This role will focus on the Utility Inventory Condition Assessment and Mapping (ICAM) program, which provides total asset visibility of utilities across multiple facilities. The GIS Analyst will play a key role in updating, managing, and analyzing spatial data to support facility planning, construction projects, and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update an ArcGIS web application to reflect utility changes post-construction and ensure site conditions are accurately displayed.
  • Perform data reconciliation between ArcGIS and Maximo, eliminating duplicate records and ensuring consistency.
  • Conduct spatial analysis to support infrastructure planning, asset management, and decision-making.
  • Assist with GIS database development, ensuring accurate geospatial representation of all utility assets.
  • Extract and analyze GIS data to generate reports, maps, and visualizations for engineering teams.
  • Provide formatting, graphical, and editorial support for engineering documents requiring approval.
  • Conduct research and assist staff in analyzing documents for adequacy and accuracy.
  • Support integration of GIS with maintenance management systems to optimize asset tracking and reporting.


Education and Experience:

  • Five (5)+ years of experience with ArcGIS platform, specifically in facilities management, construction, or infrastructure planning.
  • Strong experience in data management, geoprocessing, and GIS software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); IBM Maximo preferred.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft SharePoint (preferred).
  • Experience with Electronic Engineering Data Management Systems (preferred).
