The selected candidate may choose to work remote in a home office in the United States, or in our Ann Arbor, Michigan locationYour Role:As a Geospatial Implementation Specialist, reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, your primary responsibility will be to implement the Geonexus Integration Platform (GIP) for new and existing clients. You will guide customers through GIP implementations by facilitating requirement workshops, performing software installation and configuration, providing user training, and sharing best practices to ensure successful product adoption and long-term success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in GIS and proven experience integrating ArcGIS with other enterprise systems used by government and utilities. This hands-on, customer-facing role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, customer service, and contributing to the company’s growth in a fast-paced environment.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Work with our customer’s IT and GIS departments:
- Set up system environments (e.g. sandbox, development, test, production).
- Configure integration user access to ArcGIS and other enterprise systems, ensuring proper connectivity. This process may involve troubleshooting issues related to networking, authentication, authorization, and permissions.
- Participate in integration design workshops with our customers and document:
- Customers data integration workflows and use cases.
- System to system data mapping, data translation requirements, and synchronization rules.
- System integration performance expectations.
- Implement and Support GIP
- Configure GIP according to the integration design to synchronize data between source and target systems.
- Identify data issues affecting integration and provide recommendations for cleanup.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues during configuration.
- Guide and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), resolving software defects through reporting and retesting.
- GIP administration training and supporting go-live and post-launch activities.
- Provide cross functional support for Geonexus
- Assist in reviewing project scopes to validate effort and timelines.
- Contribute to customer success stories, presentations, and internal documentation.
- Assist the sales team with software demonstrations for prospective users and offer technical expertise at tradeshows.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS (ArcMap or ArcPro) and a strong grasp of geodatabases, Esri web services, and the Utility Network.
- Familiarity with RESTful services and basic networking, including database connections and firewall troubleshooting.
- Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Practical experience using SQL with ability to write complex queries with joins to multiple tables.
- Understanding of system integration concepts including primary and foreign keys, field data mappings, data translations, and domains.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new asset management systems.
- Eligible to work in the USA without visa sponsorship.
- Hands on experience integrating Esri ArcGIS with enterprise utility systems like SAP, Maximo, Oracle CC&B, Oracle Cloud Utilities, HxGN, or similar platforms.Hands on experience using integration technologies such as iPaaS, ESB, FME, or similar middleware.
- Familiarity with Schneider ArcFM.
- Understanding of asset-intensive sectors like utilities, telecommunications, public works, water and wastewater, and transportation.
- Knowledge of asset management concepts, including asset hierarchy, location and asset relationships, work orders, and service requests.
- Ability to read and manipulate XML.
