GIS Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain feature classes and maps, in an enterprise GIS system, including detailed pipeline centerline maps, alignment maps and station drawings.
- Work with survey team to incorporate survey design and as-built data into the GIS system.
- Create GIS maps and reports as needed.
- Interacts with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives
- Maintains and improves data management and field survey procedures.
- Ensure company data integrity, accuracy, and efficient flow of data throughout the project life cycle.
- Supports the Database Administrator with maintenance and design of internal databases and implementation of new geospatial databases and schema.
- Provide support for GIS related requests from internal and external clients.
- Present GIS, data, capabilities, workflows, technical processes, organizational data flow, and GIS database schemas to management.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4-12 year’s prior experience working with GIS.
- Experience should include oil and gas and/or pipeline experience.
- Experience with creating, updating, and maintaining geographic databases.
- Knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop software.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Required:
- 4 plus years of experience with ESRI software including, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise
- Experience with FME, creating workspaces, building data migration models, and editing complex existing models to fit new workflows.
- Familiarity with GIS scripting languages, including Python (Arcpy, ArcGIS Notebooks), and Arcade.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Access, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, can identify and solve problems through the development of GIS workflows.
- Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Capability to work on multiple projects and to respond in a timely manner and can reprioritize work with changing situational demands.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including internal resources and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret communication styles of team members and clients who come from both technical and non-technical disciplines.
Salary $80K to $90K
