Position Summary: The Office of the Indian River County Property Appraiser is accepting applications for an experienced GIS professional for our GIS Analyst III position. This is a senior level technical position where the individual will maintain parcel data and other related layers. In addition, the individual will review recorded legal documents and map legal descriptions of intermediate to advanced levels of complexity for the purpose of maintaining property appraisal information in the Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal System (CAMA) and the Geographic Information System. The individual should have advanced experience in creating spatial data using coordinate geometry (COGO) and knowledge of the Public Lands Survey System (PLSS). Other duties include assisting in creating and maintaining ArcGIS Online layers, maps, and applications. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with constituents, elected officials, and property appraisers. Starting salary is dependent on education, experience, and qualifications.

Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography or related field and 7 years of GIS experience preferred or the equivalent combination of education and GIS
experience. Advanced proficiency with GIS using ESRI ArcMap\Pro software and maintaining cadastral GIS data is required. Experience with ArcSDE and ArcPro Parcel 
Fabric desired.
