Your Opportunity

As a GIS Analyst you will be part of a growing team of dedicated GIS professionals who provide mapping and spatial analysis support on a diverse range of engineering and environmental projects for both public and private clients.   

In this role we will count on you to:

  • Apply a high level of creativity and innovation to GIS mapping and analysis to support our water resources, ecological restoration, and sustainability practice areas
  • Create attractive, intuitive maps (both static and interactive) to effectively communicate environmental data
  • Perform spatial analysis to help support environmental decision-making processes
  • Help support our field staff by managing GPS equipment, setting up systems to streamline field data collection, and post-processing data
  • Creating and augmenting spatial datasets through georeferencing, digitizing, and other similar processes

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications 

  • 0-1 years of direct professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in geography, cartography, planning, natural resources, geology, or other GIS-related field with a strong GIS concentration

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 

  • Strong knowledge of map production and spatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Experience with mobile applications/environments (iOS, Android, Windows Tablets) for field data collection, including Esri FieldMaps and Survey123
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS extensions, including Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to effectively explain GIS technology needs and opportunities to clients and coworkers
  • Rigorous attention to detail and documentation
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with multiple deadlines and rapidly changing priorities
  • Passion and understanding of how to effectively apply technology for solving problems and accomplishing goals
  • Ability to work both quickly and accurately
  • Quick learner - eager to absorb new skills and stay current with evolving technology

  • This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the annual salary range is $60,300 - $81,200
    • Level and salary are determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to position, years of experience, type/relevance of experience, skillset, and fit for the role
