DeepWalk is an automated measurement platform that transforms 3D models of infrastructure into engineering, planning, and GIS deliverables for public works. Our current product enables municipalities to scan sidewalks using LiDAR scanners on new iPhones, automatically generating the documentation needed for their required ADA transition plans.

Our ArcGIS integration automatically formats customers' mapping data into preformatted web maps in ArcGIS Online using the Python API. We offer mapping data exports compatible with any GIS platform and implementation features that support the generation of work orders for trip hazard removal, remove & replace, vegetation removal, and curb ramp retrofit projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking a GIS and Python Solutions Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will:

• Assist customers in creating GIS-based deliverables.
• Enhance our technical mapping outputs to improve usability and reduce future support tickets.
• Develop documentation and training materials to empower customers to work with DeepWalk in a GIS format.

Your contributions will directly impact our core KPIs:

• Pilot Conversion Rate
• Customer Renewal Rate

Key Responsibilities

Sample Customer Tickets:

• Convert GeoJSON deliverables to ArcGIS geodatabases.
• Create trip hazard removal dashboards on ArcGIS Online for grant applications.
• Use the OpenStreetMap Python API to assist in project planning.
• Generate new GeoJSON mapping files using raw data from JSON databases.

Technical Improvement:

• Enhance mapping deliverables for increased usability.
• Collaborate with data management, technical, and sales teams to implement improvements.

Documentation & Training:

• Update website documentation to reflect new mapping deliverables.
• Develop and conduct training sessions for customers.
• Translate technical information into layman's terms for diverse audiences.

Support & Collaboration:

• Address customer support tickets effectively.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Required Technical Skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro.
• Strong Python programming skills with multiple geospatial project examples.
• Experience with geospatial libraries: Shapely, GeoPandas, and ArcGIS Python API.
• Familiarity with GIS data formats, mapping, and visualization techniques.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in GIS or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 1-5 years of professional experience in GIS-related roles.

Certifications: GISP certification and/or ArcGIS Python API certification preferred.

Communication and Writing Skills

• Experience in consulting or technical support roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create clear documentation, reports, and proposals.
• Strong presentation and training abilities.

Work Environment

Hybrid Schedule: On-site at our office 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday), remote work 2 days per week.

Travel: Attend the ArcGIS User Conference and Partner Conference annually.

Facilities: Access to an on-site gym.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
