SUMMARY:

Provides support to GIS on various projects and programs for Columbus Water Works (CWW). Performs varied technical work including data entry from as-built drawings, record drawings, and backlog information, customer service, and production of internal and external maps. May work with other departments in collecting/integrating data. Insures all work is in accordance with the purpose and vision of CWW and Departmental goals. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by and under direct supervision of Geomatics Manager and general supervision of the GIS Specialists and the Vice President of Engineering. Work is reviewed for accuracy, results obtained, and consistency with policy through reports and conference."Salary range may be negotiable in accordance with our policy based on an individual's qualifications, education, experience and special licenses/certifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Supports the GIS/Survey/sUAS programs. 
Performs data entry in an area of Geomatics (GIS/ Survey/ sUAS) supporting the project deliverables and timeline.
Assists the Geomatics Specialist and Geomatics Technician with various duties and projects.
Streamlines GIS processes and analyses using various software.
Research to obtain needed information within defined area of Geomatics. 
Performs other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Attention to accuracy of information.
Some working knowledge and application of Geomatics concepts for municipal and utility applications. 
Some knowledge of Geomatics equipment, Geomatics desktop programs.
Knowledge and ability to work with Microsoft Office programs.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
Some upper-level course work in Computer Information Systems, Geomatics, Survey, Geography or related from an accredited college or university required.
