Percheron is seeking a highly motivated and diverse GIS Intern for our Summer 2024 internship program. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2024 (flexible). Intern will work under the direction of a GIS Technician and GIS Analyst. This position will create and maintain maps, GIS layers, electronic data and geographic computer files for various projects.

• Learn how to create professional maps from preliminary data.
• Convert/transform Lat/Long data
• Learn how to map leases from internal and external sites
• Perform standard spatial analysis such as buffering, intersects, selections, etc. 
• Additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned

• Must be in your final two years of obtaining your degree in a GIS related field.
• The ideal candidate will have high customer service ethic, ability to understand quickly to follow instructions, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
