WestLand is now accepting applications for a GIS Intern position for the 2025 summer season. This position will be based out of our Tucson office and will provide support to the GIS and Geomatics team. To qualify, you must currently be enrolled in a related field of study and be able to work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week. What will I be doing?

• Creating and maintaining field data collection applications using ESRI Field Apps
• Creating and maintaining maps and related geospatial documentation
• Assisting in proposal and pre-project planning activities.
• Working with large datasets

What qualifications are required for this role?

• Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience with mapping, land surveying, or related field or coursework in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or Land Surveying.
• Actively enrolled in a GIS or related degree program.
• Experience with industry standard field data collectors preferred.
• Experience with GPS Antennas preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of basic spatial concepts.
• Fundamental web-research skills, including the use of web-based maps preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The wage range for this position is $19.00 - $21.50/hour.
